Dead Ringers

This is a fast-paced, character-driven thriller that I really enjoyed.
I was hooked by the prologue and intrigued throughout the story. Feldman does an excellent of job of balancing description and exposition with action in this novel. The conflict and characters are nively developed and kept me engaged straight through to the end! If you're looking for a little modern noir fiction to fill up your weekend, this is the book for you. I will definitely be keeping my eyes open for the next entry.

Dead Ringers

While I wished at certain points that I had read the first book in this series first, I still enjoyed this book and the complexity of the characters. The story was detailed and there were plenty of twists and turns to keep me interested from start to finish. It was not predictable like some mysteries could be and vast array of characters adds depth and leaves wanting to “connect the dots”.

Dead Ringers

This is book #2 of the author's Hammer and Sharpe series. I was fortunate enough to get a pre-read, and not having read book #1, it was easy enough to follow the characters, the plot twists. Held my interest throughout. Is a page-turner at times. Think a mystery reading fan will love this one.

Not Today

“Not Today!” is an amazing woman sleuth fictional narrative that took me by surprise. Dora, a character who starts as just a sanitation worker, develops into an investigative pro and justice vigilante. The other characters are also well developed, which is further amplified by a fascinating storyline. Despite the underlying factors and the high risk involved, Dora is determined to achieve justice. This was a true page-turner and loved the dedication that went into developing the story. Looking forward to book 2!

Not Today

I really enjoyed this book! I am a fan of mysteries and this book did not disappoint. There was so much that was unknown early on that I found myself rushing for answers but still making sure to not miss any details. Even knowing some of the things the characters did not early on I still rode along with them on the journey. What is the murder that is not a murder? Who all is involved? At what lengths will they go to keep their secrets and power? It makes me excited for what else is to come of the people of Beach City.

Not Today

There’s no better starter to a book series than this! Am obsessed with vigilante justice, Jack Reacher ranking among my best movies, and now I seem to have found my best novel. Dora Ellison is not your average woman, but rather someone who is ready to go against all odds. While her strong physique may be daunting, she is rather a sweet and hardworking woman. When she takes a hand in an investigative journey, things take a new twist, and the story changes, becoming a new thrilling action that grips your attention to the end.

Another fine way that Dora uses her rage and clears her mind as she takes on those who has done her and others wrong

Not Today

The author introduces a carousel of delightful characters in a week that holds interest and links plot lines. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it’s surprising twists and turns. Genuinely unpredictable, I was pleasantly surprised with the end. The author seems to have a real stake in this environment and his characters and it shows in the reading.

Not Today

A nice start to the series with a lot of thoughtful plot throughout. The main character is rough and tumble and ready to rumble. Some of her "hardcoreness" is too on the nose and flattens would could otherwise be an intelligent character. Her sexuality, job, mentality, hobby-MMA, are all designed to maker her look ultra tough and hardened and manly. It pulls away from the investigative mystery, which was the narrative strand I found most compelling. Still a good series starter, just need more story and less commentary to keep this series working.

A Gathering Storm

Feldman makes his characters unabashedly human and plot lines addictively compelling. These mysteries remind me of Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone. Definitely check this one out if you're a fan.

A Gathering Storm

David Feldman does it again! This outstanding novel is his second in the Dora Ellison series. This novel takes you on a journey into the unsolved murder of a man after a family get-together. Dora is still mourning the death of Franny, her partner. In the depths of her despair, she dives into solving this mystery and puts herself in dangers’ way as she discovers a cover-up of momentous proportions.

This book proved to be a quick read for me! Having read Not Today, I was familiar with some of the characters and the backstory of Dora Ellison. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great murder mystery!

.... you will love David Feldman. Full of twists and turns, this novel features Dora Ellison, one-time sanitation worker and police academy cadet, in a mystery complete with family drama, murder, and personal reflection.

A Sickening Storm

A Sickening Storm: (A Gripping Mystery Thriller) is the third book from the saga A Dora Ellison Myster, written by David E. Feldman. It is a mystery novel that does not disappoint. The author has once again demonstrated that he knows how to create a story that keeps the reader intrigued and unable to stop reading from the beginning; just when you think you know what will happen, you realize again that you don't. The characters are wonderful, luckily, they are out of the typical stereotypes and that is appreciated. The changes in the narrative, and being able to see the different points of view, was what I loved! I totally recommend reading this book and the rest of the saga.

A Sickening Storm

This 3rd installment of A Sickening Storm by David Feldman is a very timely mystery novel. Set in our world post pandemic, makes the story more relatable. It is very well written and I like Missy’s character, very impressive and smart. I have to be honest, I have not read the first 2 books, but having read the storyline for this book encourages me to read the prior two books. By including certain historical events (most especially COVID pandemic), the author makes the story more believable. Scary actually if there is really a serial killer that is creating havoc like this. I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this reading.

A Sickening Storm

One of my library friends got me to read this ebook. The beginning definitely hooked me. Each chapter kept on building upon the previous one. Little details kept on appearing and the questions kept surfacing. The sense of wanting to be a killer in the book was a little unstable way of thinking. I felt like I was living within the pandemic and out of it, because I connected to the hospital cases, the unknown diseases coming from other countries and finding connections. Dora, being the main character, has energy, faith, open inquisitiveness for everything around her. The story jumps through different perspectives, second and third person, which actually kept me glued to the pages and chapters. As hospitals are complex institutions, this novel definitely held me and surprised me all around. I like this series and Dora.

A Sickening Storm

Being the third book in the series, A Sickening Storm by David E. Feldman is a captivating story and unputdownable book.
Characters’ development is very well done; I liked their dialogues and the situations they are in. Also, the plot develops at a very good pace, making the reading entertaining and never dull or too fast.
Everything that happens from beginning to end surprised me; when I read the description of the book, I knew it was going to be a good reading, but now that I have finished it, I must confess it surpassed my expectations. I would recommend reading it.

A Biological Storm

After reading the previous books, I needed to know more about the adventures of Dora Ellison and Missy Winters. It is the fourth book of the series and in this case they are hired to investigate the murder and mutilation of a woman killed by a high powered automatic rifle.I like these kinds of stories because they keep me alert and attentive to the plot. Also, author David Feldman does a great job of making the reader want to get inside the head of the investigator and the killer. I don't want to spoil it, so I'll just say that the relationship between the title and the story is witty. I will definitely continue reading this series!

A Divisive Storm

This book was my reentry into the world of mystery and I absolutely loved it. The author blends excitement and conflict so well, inviting the reader to really engage with the plot and the main themes. The characters are unique, relatable, and so, so real. It was a lot of fun trying to solve the mystery myself and wondering how everything and everyone was connected. It made the plot twists even better.

Let Thy Children Come

This novel has it all. I liked the plot and how the author created the characters which most are easy to empathise with. The narrative style is totally catchy. I read for hours and lost track of time. This is a middle length book that can be read really quickly due to this but also because it is a light read.
Author Feldman crafted a mystery that's difficult to put down. Without any doubts, I would read this again and recommend it!
